Job Overview

As our Content Production Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our content engine, crafting compelling video content that educates and inspires entrepreneurs. You’ll manage our end-to-end production workflow for live shows featuring successful founders, military veterans, and startup education content. This role offers unique exposure to thought leaders in the startup ecosystem while allowing you to shape the growth of an emerging education platform. As we scale our content production from weekly to tri-weekly broadcasts, you’ll have the opportunity to grow with us and make a significant impact in the startup community.

Job Highlights

  • Hourly Rate: USD 7.2
  • Paid Hours per Week: 20
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 2:00pm | Central Time
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate end-to-end video content production workflow from pre-production to publication
  • Coordinate with high-profile guests including founders and veterans for live video interviews
  • Transform raw footage into polished content using Descript’s advanced editing features
  • Design eye-catching visual assets and graphics using Canva
  • Manage content distribution across multiple social media channels
  • Curate and schedule content for our premium newsletter platform
  • Develop and maintain efficient production processes as we scale
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent content quality and branding

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Descript video editing software
  • Proficiency in Canva design platform
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented mindset with ability to maintain high quality under deadlines
  • Experience with content calendar management
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining team alignment
  • Passion for entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem
  • Comfort with remote work environment
