Junior Communication Specialist

The Protection and Sustainable Use of Forest Ecosystems and Biodiversity (ProFEB) Project, a part of the Lao-German Cooperation and commissioned by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and financially supported co-financing from the EU, is currently seeking one (1) qualified Lao national for the position of Junior Communication Specialist, based in Vientiane Capital, starting from 02.03.2026 to 31.12.2026 with possibility of extension.

MAIN TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies and action plans for the project.
  • Create content for various communication channels, including social media, press releases.
  • Ensure the quality of all communication materials including released articles, maintaining high standards and consistency across all platforms.
  • Enhance visual communication efforts by creating visually appealing materials that effectively convey project messages
  • Provide support in organizing and managing communication-related events and workshops.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of communication action plan and activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in business studies, economics, international relations or a comparable field.
  • Up to 1 years’ experience in a comparable position and relevant internship(s).
  • Experience maintaining social media, including Facebook, TikTok, and knowledge of digitalization and trends.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and designing software/packages.
  • A proven track record in experience in development cooperation project.
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills.
  • Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management.
