Phu Bia Mining Limited is a Lao-registered company, 90 per cent owned by PanAust, an Australian-headquartered copper and gold mining company, with the Government of Laos owning the remaining 10 per cent. Phu Bia Mining owns and operates two award winning operations – Phu Kham Copper-Gold and Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver, both located in Xaisomboun Province, 120km north of Vientiane.

Site-based employees work a roster of 20 days on, 8 days off; 9 days on, 5 days off; or 14 days on, 7 days off for shift work, while Vientiane – based employees work 5 days per week with 2 days off.

 

Reporting to the Administration Superintendent, you will be responsible for monitoring all processes contributing to the performance of administration service areas, housekeeping, and catering to ensure all the processes are conducted in accordance with departmental guidelines. You will work closely with Catering, Housekeeping and Camp Supervisors to plan, schedule and implement QA/QC related activities and improvement plans.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Monitor all processes contributing to the performance of admin service areas, housekeeping, and catering and are conducted in accordance with departmental guidelines
  • Works closely with Catering, Housekeeping and Camp Supervisors and cost control to plan, schedule and implement QA related activities and improvement plans
  • Document control system and update SOP when required into Site service SharePoint
  • Work with safety department to internal audit Food local supplier in monthly basic
  • Monitoring daily food supplier delivery, feedback quality product and reject any non-standard
  • Monitoring water result from OHH and IRM department
  • Conduct weekly inspection in kitchen area
  • Conduct Quarterly Customer survey for site service activities.
  • Ensure employees are following all food safety and worker safety practice
  • Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation into SharePoint
  • Monitoring and update Department PPI to ensure achievement as target
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

To be successful in this role, you will require:

 

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, English or Business Administration field
  • Hotel Degree or Certificate of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) & Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) is desirable
  • Previous QA/QC experience or fresh graduate with strong motivation and willing to learn
  • Excellent in communication skills for both English and Lao
  • Ability to work well within a busy and different environment
  • Competency in Microsoft office
