Terms of Reference

To strengthen strategic advocacy and communications support for ongoing advocacy and partnership on regional priorities by developing, coordinating, documenting, and amplifying regional and country-level visibility and advocacy.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Education

Bachelors degree in Communications, Knowledge Management, International Development, Partnership Management or related field.

Work Experience

At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in communications, advocacy, knowledge management, partnership management, preferably in the development/humanitarian sector and with a focus on water, sanitation, climate change or related issues.

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills

• Strong experience in developing advocacy and communications strategies and products;
• Proven track record in knowledge management, partnership coordination and donor reporting;
• Excellent writing and editing skills for external and internal audiences and donor community;
• Experience with knowledge management and documentation;
• Familiarity with UNICEF branding and content strategies will be an added advantage.

Language Requirements

Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Knowledge of Arabic and/or French is an asset.

Desirables

• Experience working with UN agencies.
• Previous work on water scarcity, WASH, or climate change advocacy.
