Position: Financial Officer
Organization: Zero Waste Laos (ZWL) in collaboration with HELVETAS Laos
Location: Vientiane, ZWL office
Duration: 1-year contract

Zero Waste Laos and HELVETAS Laos are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Officer to join our team for the “Governance in Water and Environment to Increase Resilience & Adaptation to Climate Change (GiWEAC)” project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial operations of the project.

• Prepare and process payments, invoices, and expense reports.

• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

• Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets.

• Ensure compliance with ZWL and HELVETAS Laos financial policies and procedures.

• Manage the disbursement and tracking of small grants.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the non-profit or development sector.

• Experience in grant management and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Good understanding of local financial laws.

• Fluency in Lao and working proficiency in English.
