The Equality Fund has opened applications for its CONNECT funding stream, supporting collaborations between feminist, women’s rights, gender-expansive, and allied social justice movements working together to advance gender equality and social justice.

The opportunity will provide approximately CAD $4 million per year to selected collaborations, with individual grants ranging from CAD $500,000 to CAD $1 million per year.

What the Opportunity Offers:

CAD $500,000–$1 Million per year in grant funding

Two-year initial grant period, with potential for additional years

Support for collaborations across the Global South and East

Funding to strengthen cross-movement relationships, trust, infrastructure, shared strategies, and collective capacity

Support for feminist and allied movements addressing interconnected challenges and working toward long-term systems change

Approximately 5–7 collaborations are expected to receive funding

Application Process:

Eligible collaborations must first complete the Equality Fund’s Eligibility Quiz. Qualified applicants can then submit an Expression of Interest (EoI) through the Equality Fund Community Portal.
