World Vision International Lao PDR is seeking a professional consultant or team of consultants for Consultancy for VDO Shooting (Documenting project impact, good practices, and lessons learned of Samaki Scale Up – See Vid Thee Dee – Khammouane Youth Well-Being Project).
Project Background
World Vision is a Christian relief and development organization working to create lasting change in the lives of children, families, and communities living in poverty. The Sivid Thidee, Khamouane Youth Well-being Project aims to provide the most vulnerable youth in World Vision target Districts in Khammouane Province with opportunities and space to develop their self-confidence, learn how to build positive relationships, discover their potentials, build their dreams, and become agents for positive change.
Purpose
- To highlight the impact of the D2D project in the lives of children.
- To create awareness of the challenges that the youth face in the target villages.
- To promote and show the strengths of the project for donors who may be interested in funding these opportunities.
Specific Outcomes
- Show how children/youth are aware of their own identity, dignity, and worth as a result of the project activities.
- Document the above through the stories of children, caregivers, project staff, and other stakeholders.
Assigned Tasks
The consultant(s) will carry out the following tasks:
- Develop the documentary film’s overall concept and scenario (storyboard) with WVIL and project team.
- Perform appropriate 2 videos filming on-site and shoot activities/interviews in Lao (with subtitles in English) with the projects’ beneficiaries, Village Volunteers, caregivers in target schools/community and stakeholders in Mahaxay and Xaybouathong District, Khammouane Province.
- Present a draft documentary in Lao (with subtitles in English) to WVIL staffs assigned for review.
- Edit/Produce the final documentary film(s) and submit one master copy.
Required Application Package
Interested candidates are invited to send a complete application package in English containing:
- A curriculum vitae (CV).
- An expression of interest letter of no more than 4 pages, outlining how the consultant/team meets the selection criteria.
- A proposal including proposed approaches, outlined timeframe, frameworks, detailed methodologies, sample size, logistics, and personnel.
- A financial proposal indicating the fixed total contract price, supported by a breakdown of costs (including consultant fees, meals, and tax).
