Under the partnership among UNICEF, the European Union (EU) and the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) in Lao PDR, a new project called ‘Digital Skills and Digital Literacy for Lao Adolescent Employability’ will be launched. The project aims to improve digital skills and digital literacy among Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) teachers and students, enhance career guidance, and increase awareness of digital literacy.
Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities
- Inception Planning: Conduct desk reviews, lead kick-off meetings, refine the project framework, and prepare the integrated Inception Report.
- Research Design and Baseline Survey: Support the development of research design for baseline and endline surveys, field-test data collection instruments, and prepare the baseline report.
- Project Implementation (Preparatory Phase): Lead groundwork for improving digital skills, career guidance, and digital entrepreneurship programs, and prepare detailed implementation strategies.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Advanced university degree in relevant fields (education, information technology, etc.). Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Work Experience: At least 7 years of professional work experience in ICT in education, digital pedagogy, digital learning, teaching, or teacher development. Experience in Laos/Southeast Asia is a strong asset.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Lao or Thai is a strong asset.
- Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of Lao PDR’s education sector, TVET, digital landscape, and skills development for adolescents.
