Job Purpose
-
Ensure compliance with NTPC’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies, standards, and regulations.

Guide staff and contractors on safety best practices.

Perform hazard management, inspections, audits, training, incident management, and emergency response.
-
Promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility across all NTPC activities.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Management
-
Identify hazards and mitigate risks via assessments and impact evaluations.
Inspections & Audits
-
Regularly inspect facilities, equipment, and processes for compliance with safety standards.
Emergency Response
-
Conduct quarterly drills, firefighting operations, and serve on 24/7 on-call rescue teams.
Training
-
Develop and deliver safety and emergency response training for employees and contractors.
Incident Investigation
-
Investigate accidents and near misses; implement corrective measures.
Documentation & Compliance
-
Maintain records of QHSE activities, incidents, and training.

Support internal audits and ensure equipment calibration schedules.
External Management
-
Monitor QHSE performance of contractors and suppliers.
Field Work
-
Conduct inspections on road safety devices, company vehicles, and improvement site visits.
Competency Requirements
-
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.

Minimum 3 years’ experience as HSE Officer, preferably in power generation or mining.

Expertise in emergency response, firefighting, and rescue operations (NFPA, OSHAS standards).

Knowledge of electrical safety, confined spaces, RCFA, Lao Occupational Health Laws, and NTPC QHSE policies.

Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate Level.
