Background

1. The Environment and Forest Protection Fund (EFF), Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE), has been implementing a project “Building resilience of urban populations with ecosystem-based solutions in Lao PDR” which was approved by the Green Climate Fund Board on November 2019 with a GCF grant of US$ 10 million. United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) serves as the Accredited Entity for the project. Environment and Forest Protection Fund (EFF) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE), has been assigned to support the project for procurement and financial management.

2. As part of the project activities, The Environment and Forest Protection Fund (EFF) is conducting a market survey to better understand the current production capacity, availability, and technical capability of manufacturers producing paving materials and related construction products in Lao PDR.

3. The information collected will be used solely for technical assessment and planning purposes to support the promotion of sustainable and climate-resilient construction materials under the Urban EBS Project. Individual company information will be treated confidentially and will not be disclosed without your consent.
