Job Description / Duties:
Storekeeper SC-4 will report to the Logistics Assistant and overall supervision by the Logistics Officer. Key responsibilities include:

• Receiving, dispatching, and verifying commodities (including transhipment) against approved documentation, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.

• Preparing, verifying, and signing warehouse and transport documents, maintaining confidential files, and accurate warehouse transaction records.

• Conducting daily warehouse closing reconciliation and accurate inventory checks to support internal control systems.

• Performing daily inspections and reporting on quantity and quality of commodities, detecting and analyzing discrepancies, and preparing loss reports.

• Implementing measures to safeguard commodities and ensure quality control following WFP procedures.

• Monitoring warehouse and commodity conditions, supporting space planning, and ensuring organized storage according to WFP standards.

• Providing guidance and on-the-job training to warehouse staff to promote development and high performance.

Skills and Competencies:

• Experience using logistics databases and managing inventories.

• Experience managing warehouses with food and non-food items.

• Fluency in English and Lao, both oral and written.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Completion of secondary school; Bachelor’s degree in business administration, transport & logistics, computer science, statistics, economics (preferably transport economics), quality assurance, or related field.

• Experience: Four or more years of progressively responsible work experience in supply chain management, logistics, and warehouse management, including general administrative work.

• Proficiency in computers and computerized information systems.
