We do this by working in partnerships with communities to improve the health and education of their children, youth and young adults for sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p>You have experiences in working with youth or young adults and would like to contribute to our beneficiaries personal and professional development? Then you are the right person and we need your support with the management of our university scholarship programme in Lao PDR.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Programme development<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build a professional network among various stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement programme procedures, training curricula and handouts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Programme implementation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote scholarship opportunities to potential applicants<\/li>\n<li>Manage selection process of new scholarship students<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with schools, universities and local authorities regarding scholarships<\/li>\n<li>Lead trainings\/activities and organise scholarship camps to build up capacity of scholarship students<\/li>\n<li>Track scholarship student alumni<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate and monitor programme activities and outputs<\/li>\n<li>Write programme and student monitoring reports in English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Programme administration and finance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and manage student budgets and payments<\/li>\n<li>Update student profiles and data in our university scholarship database<\/li>\n<li>Other administrative tasks concerning the programme as assigned by line manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education and work experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A strong interest in working for an NGO and contributing to our vision and mission<\/li>\n<li>A graduate diploma, bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent education<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years of working experience as social worker or in project management within the educational NGO sector or in a related field<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with youth or youth empowerment activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Soft skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Empathic coach and mentor with proactive attitude and excellent people skills who can build trust and strong relationships with all our stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Great attention to detail, a critical mind and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Good organisational\u00a0and time-management\u00a0skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to inspire and motivate others and be inspired<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Hard skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of project cycle management and budgeting of programmes<\/li>\n<li>Good facilitation and training skills to conduct various workshops and trainings<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge about Lao PDR education system is highly preferred<\/li>\n<li>Solid IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Power point, E-mail)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Travel requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A driving license<\/li>\n<li>Ability to travel frequently \u2013 conduct field visits in Laos (up to 40% of working time)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Language skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lao mother tongue<\/li>\n<li>Very good command of written and verbal English language<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A full time position in Luang Prabang Province, Lao PDR with an unlimited contract<\/li>\n<li>A multicultural working environment with more than 10 nationalities<\/li>\n<li>A working culture based on trust, constant exchange, lean hierarchy and constant learning and development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Did we spark your interest?
