<strong>Laos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Purpose \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Senior Director, Strategic Alliances &amp; Partnerships (Multi-Country) will provide senior leadership on behalf of the Country Directors and Regional Director to strengthen Save the Children\u2019s external positioning, strategic alliances, and regional engagement across Multi-Country.<\/p>\n<p>The role will act as a catalyst for building and advancing high-value partnerships and alliances,\u00a0while also serving as a\u00a0primary strategic adviser to Country Directors and the Regional Leadership Team (RLT)\u00a0on external engagement, partnership positioning and strategic priorities.<\/p>\n<p>Working closely with Country Directors and the RLT, the postholder will support strategic decision-making, prioritisation and positioning in relation to key partnerships, alliances, regional platforms and external stakeholders, ensuring that Country Offices are well-positioned within evolving external ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p>This includes strengthening engagement with priority strategic accounts such as\u00a0ECHO, World Bank and ADB,\u00a0as well as regional and intergovernmental platforms including\u00a0ASEAN, SAARC and the Mekong River Commission, and building strategic alliances with global, regional and private sector partners.<\/p>\n<p>A central dimension of the role will be to\u00a0build and steward strategic alliances, including advancing Save the Children\u2019s global partnerships (e.g. Impact Alliance) at the regional level, while identifying and cultivating complementary alliances with regional actors and networks.<\/p>\n<p>The role will also lead engagement with\u00a0private sector advisory and consulting partners, including managing and expanding pro-bono partnerships with organisations such as\u00a0Accenture Development Partnerships and Oliver Wyman, and exploring similar collaborations to bring in specialised expertise, innovation and strategic advisory support.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the postholder will lead engagement with\u00a0academic and research institutions across the region, with a focus on\u00a0South\u2013South cooperation, technology transfer and applied knowledge partnerships,\u00a0including with leading institutions in\u00a0China, Thailand and Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>The role will lead the development and external positioning of\u00a0regional platforms and multi-country initiatives, strengthening Save the Children\u2019s ability to engage in larger, more strategic partnerships and collaborative programmes.<\/p>\n<p>At a senior level, the post holder will represent Save the Children with key regional and global stakeholders, strengthening the organisation\u2019s fully understand the provisions of the Child Safeguarding Policy, the Code of Conduct and Local\/Country Procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Conduct themselves in accordance with the rules of the Child Safeguarding Policy, in their personal and professional lives \u2013 which includes reporting suspicions of child abuse.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Strategic Leadership and Regional Positioning (25%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Act as a senior advisor to the Regional Director, Country Directors and the RLT on partnerships, alliances and regional engagement priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a\u00a0trusted strategic adviser to Country Directors and the RLT, supporting decision-making on external engagement, partnerships and alliances.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen Save the Children\u2019s positioning across Asia as a credible, solutions-oriented and collaborative partner.<\/li>\n<li>Support the development of a coherent regional approach to engaging with evolving external ecosystems.<\/li>\n<li>Align Country Offices, National Offices and Members around shared partnership priorities and engagement strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Translate regional and global trends into actionable partnership and positioning approaches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Strategic Alliances and Partnership Development (25%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Lead the development and stewardship of\u00a0high-value strategic alliances and partnerships\u00a0across the region.<\/li>\n<li>Advance Save the Children\u2019s\u00a0global alliances\u00a0at the regional Wyman.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and develop new partnerships with\u00a0consulting, advisory and technical firms\u00a0to secure pro-bono or co-invested support.<\/li>\n<li>Leverage these partnerships to:\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li>strengthen programme and platform design<\/li>\n<li>support innovation and product development<\/li>\n<li>enhance strategic positioning and engagement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective coordination and utilisation of external expertise across regional priorities and initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Regional Platforms and Multi-Country Initiatives (20%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Lead the development and positioning of\u00a0regional platforms and multi-country initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Convene cross-country and cross-functional teams to develop scalable and partnership-ready propositions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><strong>Support initiatives in areas such as:<\/strong>\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li>climate resilience and education systems<\/li>\n<li>youth skills and workforce development<\/li>\n<li>sustainable supply chains<\/li>\n<li>care with\u00a0academic institutions, think tanks and research organisations.<\/li>\n<li>Promote\u00a0South\u2013South cooperation and knowledge exchange, including technology transfer and applied research.<\/li>\n<li>Prioritise engagement with institutions in\u00a0China, Thailand and Pakistan, while building broader regional networks.<\/li>\n<li>Position Save the Children as a partner for innovation, research and policy engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Communications, Visibility and Representation (5%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Strengthen Save the Children\u2019s regional visibility through strategic engagement and positioning.<\/li>\n<li>Represent Save the Children in regional and global forums and partnerships.<\/li>\n<li>Provide\u00a0strategic briefings, stakeholder mapping and engagement support\u00a0to Country Directors and the RLT.<\/li>\n<li>Support preparation for\u00a0high-level meetings, negotiations and partnership discussions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Essential<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Master\u2019s degree or equivalent professional experience in international development, economics, public policy, business administration or related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Desirable<\/u><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Additional training or certification in development finance, partnership development or strategic management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Significant senior-level experience in partnerships,
