Through its program interventions in 6 provinces, SOS Children\u2019s Villages Laos provides family like care, protection, education and community-based programs to hundreds of children and youth.<\/p>\n<p>We advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. All our co-workers are obliged to follow our policy on Child Safeguarding and Protection, PSHEA and Code of Conduct.\u00a0To support us with this important responsibility we are now looking for a committed:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Data &amp; Program Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location: <\/strong>\u00a0SOS Children\u2019s Villages Xiengkhouang, Laos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Data management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain and improve data quality by strictly following PDB2 guidelines (case management guidelines) and DQA tools.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate and timely monthly data entry and verify key data using the required formats before submission to National M&amp;E for validation.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in monthly PDB2 and RBM meetings to track, review, and update key achievements (indicators), identify bottlenecks, and document lessons learned from project implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly data cross-checks (DQA status) between system data and village records, and update findings via M&amp;E SharePoint.<\/li>\n<li>Support the organization and delivery of DQA training sessions and contribute to annual Data Quality Assessments (DQA).<\/li>\n<li>Collect, analyze, summarize, and report data from dashboards, Compass reports, and RBM monitoring tools for monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in ad-hoc meetings to review, verify, and correct data errors or inconsistencies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Assistant Village Director:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the Village Director in the preparation of annual plans, budgets, reports, and IT-related matters.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in monitoring the implementation of village programs to ensure alignment with organizational standards, policies, and objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the M&amp;E team to ensure timely and accurate data reporting, in compliance with PDB2, DQA, and RBM requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Support the supervision and capacity building of village staff to strengthen program quality and effective data management practices.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support for IT infrastructure, including maintaining office computer systems and ensuring their long-term functionality and efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate effective communication between the village and donors\/sponsors, including translation of documents and interpretation during face-to-face meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Person Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 Essential Values, Behaviors and Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"square\">\n<li>Good verbal and written communication skills in English &amp; local language.<\/li>\n<li>Good technical knowledge of IT.<\/li>\n<li>Leadership skills &amp; team orientation.<\/li>\n<li>High interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good computer skills.<\/li>\n<li>Willing to travel as and when required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"square\">\n<li><span id=\"isPasted\">Bachelor&#8217;s degree in information technology<\/span> (IT).<\/li>\n<li>Should have minimum work experience of 03 &#8211; 05 years in data Management with 2 &#8211; 3 years at management level either in corporate or not for profit Organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Good analytical skills and experience to manage data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>We offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The opportunity to work with a passionate, innovative and collaborative team in a multicultural environment.<\/li>\n<li>You will gain experience of working for a globally recognized organisation making a difference in the lives of children &amp; youth.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent learning opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Competitive remuneration commensurate with experience and industry standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates are requested to submit a brief resume\/CV and a statement of purpose on or before <strong>16 April 2026<\/strong>.
