The EU funded FREE! project \u2013 Fighting for Rights, Empowerment and Escape from Human Trafficking and Other Forms of Exploitation in Lao PDR \u2013 seeks to improve prevention and protection mechanisms against human trafficking and related forms of exploitation in Lao PDR.<\/p>\n

The project combines prevention, protection, economic empowerment, and systems strengthening, with a strong focus on children, adolescents and youth in all their diversity, especially girls and young women, human trafficking survivors, families, communities, shelters, civil society organisations (CSOs), and all duty bearers. It aims to increase awareness of human trafficking risks, strengthen survivor-centred services, improve community-based and shelter-based protection mechanisms, and build the capacity of state and non-state actors to prevent and respond effectively to human trafficking.<\/p>\n

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and implementation of the FREE! project, including planning, scheduling, budget management, coordination with co-applicants and third parties, reporting, representation to government and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with donor and organisational standards. The role is based in Vientiane Capital and requires regular travel to Bokeo, Luang Namtha, and Savanakhet Provinces, as well as coordination with national authorities, shelters, CSOs, and development partners.<\/p>\n
