Position Overview<\/h3>\n

  • Position Title:<\/strong> Project Officer \u2013 Anti-Human Trafficking Prevention<\/li>\n
  • Duty Station:<\/strong> Viengxai District, Houaphanh Province<\/li>\n
  • Reports To:<\/strong> Project Manager<\/li>\n
  • Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time (35 hours per week)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Position Summary<\/h3>\n

    MCC Laos is seeking a qualified and motivated Project Officer to implement anti-human trafficking prevention activities in Viengxai District, Houaphanh Province. The role works closely with district partners and communities to plan, implement, monitor, and report on project activities in line with approved project plans.<\/p>\n

    Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n

    Project Planning and Implementation<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • Support project planning, village surveys, and preparation of annual, six-month, and monthly plans and budgets.<\/li>\n
    • Lead day-to-day field implementation with district partners and identified communities.<\/li>\n
    • Facilitate anti-human trafficking prevention training for district officers, village leaders, and villagers.<\/li>\n
    • Prepare project expenditure reports, advance requests, and monthly, six-month, and annual reports.<\/li>\n
    • Support the development of relevant training materials and resources with partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Partnership, Communication, and Learning<\/h4>\n
        \n
      • Maintain good working relationships and communication with district and provincial partners, villagers, and relevant organizations.<\/li>\n
      • Represent MCC at meetings, conferences, and project visits as appropriate.<\/li>\n
      • Participate in workshops, training, meetings, team activities, and project learning processes.<\/li>\n
      • Report issues involving project staff or government partners to the Project Manager in a timely manner and carry out other assigned duties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Qualifications and Requirements<\/h3>\n
          \n
        • University degree in Social Work, Community Development, Rural Development, or related field.<\/li>\n
        • At least two years of relevant work experience in community development.<\/li>\n
        • Demonstrated understanding of anti-human trafficking, including its root causes, prevention strategies, victim\/survivor protection, and referral systems. Experience in anti-human trafficking programming is an advantage.<\/li>\n
        • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.<\/li>\n
        • Ability to work in villages and stay overnight when required.<\/li>\n
        • Commitment to MCC\u2019s vision, mission, values, policies, and safeguarding principles, including Child Safeguarding, PSEA, and GBV.<\/li>\n
        • Ability to speak English and\/or local ethnic languages is an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
