Procurement of Field Equipment for Nam Poui National Protected Area (NPA)

1. Background

WWF has been working in the Nam Poui National Protected Area (NPA), Xayabouly Province, since the late 2000s in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture and Forestry and in partnership with the Department of Forestry.

The Nam Poui National Protected Area Management and Conservation Project, supported by WWF-Laos, aims to:

• Contribute to the sustainable management of forest resources and wildlife habitats.

• Protect threatened species such as the Asian elephant (Elephas maximus), white-handed gibbon (Hylobates lar), and clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa).

• Improve the livelihoods of local communities in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Lao PDR’s environmental commitments.

The project is implemented in collaboration with relevant government departments in Phiang, Thongmixay, and Paklai districts, with particular focus on villages located within or near Nam Poui NPA and those situated in elephant habitats.

2. Scope of Works

WWF-Laos invites eligible suppliers to submit bids for the procurement of field equipment.

Item 2: Delivery Terms

• Delivery must be DAP (Delivered at Place) to WWF-Laos Office, Vientiane.

Item 3: Currencies of Bid

• All bid prices must be quoted in Lao Kip (LAK).

Item 4: Validity of Bids

• Bids shall remain valid for 60 days from the submission deadline.

Item 5: Lead Time

• Delivery must be completed within 45 days after signing the contract.

Item 6: Required Documentation

Bidders must provide the following documents:

• Valid Business License

• Tax Certificate

• Company Profile

3. Submission Guidelines

• All bids must be submitted via email to: procurement-laos@wwf.org.la

• Deadline for submission: 09 October 2025, no later than 16:00 hrs (Vientiane time).
