About the Organization
LFHC is a pediatric teaching hospital providing emergency, inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and outreach services to children in Northern Laos. The hospital is supported by radiology, laboratory, pharmacy, and child development services.
Role Overview
The IT Engineer plays a key role in maintaining the hospitalβs IT systems and infrastructure to ensure smooth and secure operations that support high-quality patient care. The position reports to the IT Manager.
Key Responsibilities

Provide timely help desk support to staff (both Lao and international)

Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and software

Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues

Maintain IT assets and support procurement

Assist with system documentation and IT policy writing

Maintain clinical information systems and build reports

Liaise with vendors for hardware repair or replacement

Ensure security and maintenance of networks, including VPN, firewalls, and switches

Support in setting up and maintaining CCTV, PBX, and Unifi systems
Required Skills and Knowledge

Strong proficiency in Windows, Windows Server, and macOS (Linux is a plus)

Networking skills: configuration, security, and troubleshooting

Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs

Experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange is an asset

Hardware setup and troubleshooting for computers, printers, access points

Documentation and user manual preparation

Clear communication with technical and non-technical users

Project management familiarity
-
Good time management and task prioritization

Good command of English
Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering
