Roster: 20 days on / 8 days off

This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) construction and tactical infrastructure projects in Laos. You’ll work with experienced Lao and expatriate engineers and be supported with English language training and on-the-job development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support TSF construction activities at both PKM and BHX sites.

• Prepare weekly and monthly project planning, scheduling, and compliance reports.

• Design and oversee drill and blast patterns for TSF Stage 3 stepped spillway.

• Monitor construction compliance with internal guidelines, schedules, and designs.

• Create internal designs for borrow pits, ramps, and daily technical requests using CAD software (SURPAC, AutoCAD, etc.).

• Coordinate with the TSF construction team to align project goals and implementation.

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

• Monitor project team performance and adherence to technical plans.

• Champion a proactive health and safety culture.

• Mentor and develop junior engineers, including training on relevant software tools.

Key Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering and leadership roles

• Proven skills in earthworks and drill & blast design

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SURPAC, or other CAD software

• Strong communication skills in Lao and English

• Solid understanding of project planning, safety standards, and Microsoft Office
