About JVC
The Japan International Volunteer Center (JVC) is a Japanese non-governmental organization that has been working in Lao P.D.R. since 1989. JVC focuses on rural development, particularly in the areas of natural resource management and sustainable agriculture.

JVC is currently seeking a qualified Lao national to join our team as Field Staff based in Sekong Province (Laman, Dak Cheung, and Kaleum Districts).

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement all field activities

• Provide legal training for rural villagers

• Prepare activity reports

• Coordinate with government officials and partner NGOs

Required Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English (IELTS score of 5.5 or above preferred)

  • You must be able to communicate effectively with international staff

• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and accounting software

• Good physical health and Lao nationality

• Eagerness to learn new knowledge and techniques

Preferred Qualifications

• Legal knowledge (e.g., Lao laws or international legal frameworks)

• Experience working with NGOs

• At least 3 years of field experience (such as conducting interviews, surveys, or training in rural areas)

Work Location and Duration

• Base: Laman District, Sekong Province

• Field trips to Dak Cheung and Kaleum Districts (approximately one week per month)
