Overview of the Role

The Senior Marketing Manager, Child Sponsorship Offer & Experience is a strategic marketing leader responsible for shaping, aligning, and strengthening World Vision’s child sponsorship product and sponsor experience.

You will champion the sponsor’s perspective while balancing field realities, ensuring that innovations in product design and sponsor journey enhance both child impact and supporter engagement. With a digital-first mindset, you will lead collaboration across Support Offices, drive product evolution, and foster a culture of test-and-learn experimentation.

This role is central to increasing the relevance, appeal, and effectiveness of World Vision’s sponsorship model—boosting acquisition, retention, and sponsor satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

Global Product Strategy & Positioning

  • Co-develop a global framework for the child sponsorship product, aligning with mission and sponsor expectations.

  • Ensure consistency in messaging while enabling local contextualisation.

  • Contribute to pricing strategies to maximise sponsor acquisition and revenue.

Product Evolution & Innovation

  • Collaborate with Support Offices to refine sponsorship messaging, storytelling, and engagement approaches.

  • Pilot and scale innovations in sponsor experience, particularly through digital-first channels (mobile, social, personalised platforms).

  • Balance sponsor expectations with field integrity to keep the product credible and impactful.

Partnership & Enablement

  • Co-develop sponsor experience strategies and provide adaptable tools, templates, and messaging resources.

  • Partner with Support Offices to embed best practices across sponsor journeys.

Research & Insights

  • Facilitate global research to understand sponsor motivations and needs.

  • Monitor donor trends and translate insights into actionable strategies.

Collaboration & Capacity-Building

  • Build global communities of practice for shared learning and innovation.

  • Enable peer exchange, workshops, and consultative support for local teams.

Continuous Improvement

  • Track KPIs (NPS, retention, engagement) to measure product effectiveness.

  • Promote an iterative, feedback-driven culture for sponsorship innovation.

  • Use sponsor insights and performance data to refine approaches.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience, ideally in the charity/nonprofit sector.

  • 5+ years managing large, complex projects in a global setting.

  • Strong knowledge of customer experience design and digital-first marketing.

  • Proven ability to use data, insights, and metrics (NPS, retention, engagement) to drive product and experience improvements.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Strong relational and influencing skills in multicultural, cross-functional settings.

  • Alignment with World Vision’s Christian mission and values.


Preferred Skills

  • 10+ years of marketing leadership in global, cross-functional environments.

  • Familiarity with World Vision Support Offices and sponsorship models.

  • Experience leveraging marketing tools, technology, and digital platforms.


Travel & Work Environment

  • Home-based/remote work with collaboration across multiple time zones.

  • ~15% international travel.
