Position Overview
People in Need (PIN) is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the implementation of the Early Warning System (EWS) project in Vientiane Capital and target provinces. The position reports to the Country Representative and works closely with Finance, MEAL, and Communications teams. The role focuses on coordinating field activities, liaising with local authorities and communities, supervising project staff, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of project outputs in line with donor and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise day-to-day project activities, including trainings, community sessions, and field missions.
Liaise with sub-national authorities and community stakeholders to support effective implementation.
Support planning, monitoring, reporting, and documentation of project activities.
Assist with financial administration, budget monitoring, and forecasting in coordination with the Country Representative and Finance team.
Ensure program quality, compliance with MEAL standards, data protection, safeguarding, and PIN policies, including CFRM and SEAH prevention.
Requirements
Bachelorβs degree in development studies, public administration, environmental science, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project coordination or field implementation in development or humanitarian contexts.
Strong Lao language skills (native level) and good English communication skills (minimum B2).
Experience in Disaster Risk Reduction or community-based projects is an advantage.
Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
