Operating in Lao PDR since 1992, CARE works in partnership with communities, government, civil society, and private sector across seven provinces.
Role Overview:
The Business Development Advisor (BDA) leads resource mobilization and business development efforts to grow and sustain CARE’s programs in Lao PDR. The role focuses on securing institutional grants, developing private sector partnerships, and piloting innovative funding initiatives. The BDA works closely with CARE teams locally and internationally to support program quality and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement resource mobilization strategies.

Diversify and increase funding streams.

Collaborate with program teams to align funding with project needs.

Engage with CARE USA, CARE Asia Regional Office, and other CARE members.
Qualifications & Experience:

Master’s degree in Development Studies, Business Management, or related fields.

Minimum 5 years in business development/resource mobilization, preferably in development contexts.

Experience in program development, planning, and capacity strengthening.

Knowledge of thematic areas such as women’s empowerment, health, climate resilience, or civil society.

Commitment to gender equality, cultural sensitivity, and CARE’s values.
