Position: Communications Intern (CEGGA II)
Location: Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR
Duration: 6 months (Starting October 1, 2025)

About the Project
The Citizen Engagement for Good Governance, Accountability and Rule of Law (CEGGA II) Project is a joint initiative of three Team Europe partners – the EU, Germany, and Switzerland. The project is seeking one (1) Laotian Communications Intern to join the team in Vientiane Capital.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Assist in creating content for the GIZ Laos website, Facebook, and LinkedIn (programme news, success stories, impact articles).

Support programme information management within the GIZ system.

Assist the Communications Specialist with interviews, photography, event organization, IT setup/virtual inputs, note-taking, and media coordination.

Collect and compile data on social media interactions to support social media reporting.

Contribute to the design and development of communication materials (posters, infographics, brochures, presentations, factsheets).

Ensure integration of gender equality and “leave no one behind” principles in all communication products.

Provide support with English–Lao translation of PR/communication documents.

Work with partners and contractors to ensure high-quality and guideline-compliant materials.

Support advisors in organising government–CSO workshops and meetings.

Participate in field visits and support programme activities as needed.

Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
-
Student or recent graduate in communications, media, public relations, journalism, or related fields.

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft 365 tools).

Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Lao.

Basic understanding of gender equality (advantage).

Photography skills (advantage).

Experience with photo/video editing tools (Canva, CapCut, Photoshop, or similar) (advantage).

Intercultural interest and willingness to work with international teams and diverse partners.
