Job Opportunity: Mining Engineer at Phu Bia Mining

Phu Bia Mining, a leading player in Laos’ mining industry, is looking for a Mining Engineer to join their team.

Location: Phu Kham Copper-Gold Operation, 140 km north of Vientiane
Company: Majority-owned by PanAust, Australia

What You Will Do:

• Support the Senior Mine Production Engineer in short- to mid-term mine planning

• Create schedules for ore and waste movement

• Analyze equipment use and production performance

• Plan drilling and blasting activities

• Expand into broader planning tasks as you gain experience

Requirements:

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related field

• Experience in mining is a plus, but motivated beginners are welcome

• Proficient in English and Lao

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills

• Self-motivated with attention to detail

• Familiarity with Surpac (3D mine planning and modeling) and MineSched (production scheduling) is highly desirable
